About Our Program
The RSU 26 Adult & Community Education Program serves the communities of Glenburn, Orono and Veazie. In terms of programming, we offer adult learners the opportunity to earn an adult education high school diploma. We also offer a variety of personal enrichment programs and basic literacy supports including English and mathematics tutoring as well as ESL courses. We currently do not have a GED Test license, but can provide GED preparation through our literacy program or through our high school diploma program.
In 2008-2009, our program entered into a partnership with SAD 22’s Adult Education Program, which serves the communities of Hampden, Newburgh and Winterport. Partnering with SAD 22 has allowed both programs to provide a wider variety of course offerings to their educational communities.
Anyone who would like to see a new course offered or would be interested in teaching a course should contact our office. Our office will be open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The office is located in room 103 at Orono High School.
